Tax Tip: You can pay online, anytime

IRS offers several payment options. You can pay online, by phone or from your mobile device. Visit IRS.gov/Payments for easy and secure ways to pay your taxes.

Here are a few of the options available to you.

• IRS Direct Pay — The latest tool now available is IRS Direct Pay. You can pay your taxes directly from your checking or savings accounts at no cost to you. You receive instant confirmation that your payment has been made, and you can schedule your payment up to 30 days in advance.

• Debit or credit card — Pay your taxes by phone or online through any of the authorized debit and credit card processors. Though the IRS does not charge a fee for this service, the card processors do. The authorized card processors and their phone numbers are all on IRS.gov/payments.

• Electronic Federal Tax Payment System — Once you are enrolled, you can pay all types of taxes year-round. EFTPS is a free electronic payment option available to pay all federal taxes electronically. Go to EFTPS.gov or call 1-800-555-4477.

IRS2Go provides easy access to the mobile-friendly payment options such as Direct Pay for free, and debit or credit card payments through an approved payment processor for a fee.

Simply download IRS2Go from Google Play, the Apple App Store or Amazon, and make your payments anytime, anywhere.

All of the electronic payment options are quick, easy, secure and much faster than mailing a check or money order.
